This shows how the Circlip pliers are used to place the short pieces of tube over the loop. Pull the string through and use that to pull the bands through the stretched out piece of tube. I lubricate the jaws of the pliers with a bit of saliva to make it easier to remove the pliers from the tube after it is in place.
